Whoever coined the term 'overworked and overpaid' was right on the money! Literally!

Ah the days of college being useless. Seriously, what's the point of working your tail off for years completing a degree and not being able to use the darn thing?!? Breath Amanda. *deep breath* Okay, I'm alright. Don't worry. But seriously, what the hay. The pros of my job are seriously starting to lose their steam against the cons. Pros: I love working at the school Makenzie goes to. I love getting off when school is out. I love getting paid to stay home on school vacations. Cons: Everything else. LOL For all ya'll that don't know, I am currently a teacher's aide with a Bachelor degree. Yah, sad right? I work in elementary special ed. I was hired to provide 1:1 care to a young girl who is severly disabled. I can do that. Not too scary of a prospect. They did however forget to tell me beforehand that I have to CHANGE HER DIAPERS! But that's a whole other story. Now we have a new student. He is a young boy with pretty severe Autism. He's slapped me so many times I've lost count. So we have two students that require 1:1 attention, a Special Ed teacher seriously overworked, and me (her aide) not having any time to help. The economy sucks...well, it sucks bad stuff!
